We are currently looking for Mining Construction Technicians to join our team. Successful candidates will provide civil engineering and survey support on mining and other infrastructure/development projects, working on client-driven rotations.

 

Responsibilities include:
 

  • Materials testing including on-site tests, soil sampling and data collection

  • Laboratory Testing of soils and concrete in strict accordance with the applicable standards, including documentation and reporting of results

  • Civil construction inspection including QC & QA monitoring to confirm compliance with approved drawings and contract specifications

  • UAV surveys

  • Material quantity control

 

Qualifications:
 

  • College diploma from a Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering, or Survey Technician program, or minimum five years surveying experience/civil construction experience

  • Full Basic Underground Common Core is an asset

  • Be excited to join a team that enjoys working together and camaraderie at camp after work

  • Be physically fit and willing to work outside in all weather conditions

  • Proficiency with mine engineering programs such as MineCad, AutoCAD, MOSS, and the ability to operate a Total Station is an asset

  • Understand civil engineering and construction principles

  • Demonstrated commitment to occupational health and safety

  • Valid Ontario Driver’s License and willingness to travel
