The Geomatics team at TULLOCH offers services to private and government sector clients throughout Ontario and across Canada. We provide a full range of traditional surveying services as well as construction monitoring, precision layout, and high-definition 3D laser scanning. We are innovative in our approach and whenever possible utilize emerging technologies to improve both the efficiency and quality of deliverables to our clients.
We are currently looking for a full time Senior GIS Manager to join our team. This is a permanent, full-time position to begin as soon as a successful candidate is found.
The Senior GIS Manager/Developer will provide innovative GIS solutions internally and to clients by working with a team of professionals and technicians (Survey, Environmental, and Planning) to deliver non-routine GIS projects. The Senior GIS Manager will interact with project managers and clients to provide recommendations for the adoption of innovative solutions. They will develop map deliverables, web map solutions, and mobile applications, along with assisting clients’ Enterprise GIS planning, implementation, and evaluation endeavors. The Senior GIS Manager will demonstrate an advanced knowledge of GIS software and technology, data acquisition and storage, spatial analysis, and cartographic deliverables. They will represent the company and assist in growing the GIS service line by driving business development endeavors, project exploration and development, and client engagement, while managing advanced projects independently.
Responsibilities

Interact with project managers providing recommendations for the adoption of innovative solutions

Exercise creativity and independent judgment and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques to design non-routine and very complex solutions

Interface directly with client as a subject matter expert (SME)

Facilitate and drive the system integration and conversion of internal processes

Work at the leading edge of technology

Identify and document processes, issues, metrics, and capabilities

Support and provide management with metrics, reports, and schedules as necessary

Document and validate system architecture

Support change management and communications programs and activities

Work with multidiscipline teams across TULLOCH
Qualifications (desired)
-
10 years experience in the field of advanced GIS
-
Degree in Geography, Geodetic Engineering/Science, Civil Engineering, GIS or related field or equivalent work experience

Development using Python, .NET, Esri ModelBuilder, or JavaScript

Experience with Safe FME
-
Experience in data model convergence, data conversion, and GIS implementation

Experience with ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Pro, and Portal for ArcGIS (including data versioning, multiuser, and replication)

Good understanding of SQL Server or related RDBMS skills

Advanced Data Management/Quality Assurance/Quality Control knowledge and experience

Experience with LiDAR and Imagery data

Knowledge of AutoCAD or MicroStation
Enhanced Qualifications (an asset)

Advanced knowledge of Coordinate Systems, Datums, Projections, and Transformations
